Nail Polish: Cover Girl - Bronze Beauty

I'm in love with this nail polish. It’s the perfect blend of bronze, gold and silver shimmer. It took two coats for this nail polish to be opaque and it take a while to dry, but who would claim about that when your nails makes your hand glow like a goddess?

DAY3:

Nail Polish Swatches: Snowman

I bought these nail polishes over the weekend from my local drugstore. The price was perfect as well as the pay off. Definitely recommend you apply your fast drying topcoat, because I notice it takes awhile for layers to dry. While go back and get the rest. Oh! and they don't have specific names it only states "SnowMan".

Plum base with big chunks of complementary colors random sized glitter and shimmer.

This nail polish looks like it's going to be so vibrant but it goes on as a clear base with red shimmer. It glides on evenly keeping the shimmer pattern in the same consistency. Kind of remind me of Untold (clear with red glitter) by Illamasqua which I wanted awhile back, but now I have it for $14 dollars less.

Since the camera didn't capture the coloring correctly here's an image of the polish. Click to see the sparkles. The shimmer goes on packed with a background color similar to the more pronounce coloring in the glitter.

Nail Polish: O.P.I - You Don't Know Jaques!

I love the fact that people have an endless amount of OPI Nail Lacquer, because I don’t (I think I own 2), but I want to someday. One thing I can say off the back is that this nail polish holding power is pretty impressive 3 day strong. The only thing I’ve noticed is without a second coat you would be sporting zebra inspired nails which definitely not a good luck. It really didn't go on as smooth as I was hoping. I’m only assuming the $8 doesn’t cover that it covers the second coat of perfection that brings you days of non-chipped nails. Don’t get me wrong theirs a smear of tips peeking through at the ends, but compared to other nail polish eh! Tomato, Tomatoe.

Price: $8

Skin: Winter Hand Treatment

I started using this method last year during the winter and I recently picked it up again once fall came back around just to get back in the routine actually.

With swineflu and these odd viruses swirling around we're cleaning our hands beyond more than normal. So, at night now my hands really appreciate this little step. During the day though I do use a conditioner by lord and taylor for my hands to helps with my skin and nails, but the hand lotion I choose to use at night is the Avon MOISTURE THERAPY ACE Pro-Vitamin Complex provitiamines hand cream.

It gives you 24 hour moisturization and guess what? It's unscented (Avon also has an intensive hand cream for those who have extremely dry skin).

How-to:
Wear a cloth glove for 20 minutes or at night when your about to go to bed, or (for faster anti-aging action) pull them on after coating your hands with a creamy lotion. Repeat once or twice weekly.

Quick Tip: Mascara not doing it's job?

Bought a mascara and it's doing one thing instead of another?

Just add another mascara to the mix. I've been doing this since HS and it's always been a fixer-upper to a bummer mascara or just gives it an extra kick since my lashes are not full nor long.

Au Natural: Hair Serum (2nd Day Bun)

What I like to do is a take a few pumps of my coconut serum by oragnic and apply it right on my hair while it's still loose in a bun to give it an extra kick of hydration. I apply a few pumps all over my hair including the bun this way my hair still looks alive and fresh until the next wash day which would be 3days from the peppermint scalp rub.

Drug Store Haul: Glitter Dust Haul

Remember when I stated how Walmart had a deal on all their Halloween items? Well I took advantage and bought all these cool glitter dust that week. Here is how I'm going to use them.

How I would use this product?
Create a glitter topbase for a nail look or eye look using these products to do the trick:
You can even dust it on your body if you wanted to (that would be so "Edward Cullen" lmao).

Mascara: Rimmel The Max Volume Flash

This product Promises:
14x volume
Extremely Black
Fast no messs lashes
Fast drying formula so no smudges
Skinny to fat in 10 seconds
Great for those who has senistive eyes and wear contact lens.

Price: $5.00

I took the mascara wand out and applied from root to tip. Off the back I didn't see any signs of clumpage or access product. It went on clean and smooth. I didn't detect any odor what so ever so that’s great for those who shun anything with a scent. This actually beat my lash stiletto in length, but not in pigmentation after a few coats still the black isn't that extreme as it claims. It kind of reminds me of lash blast (the new one) left you with lashes that felt soft and not brittle or stiffed but flexible. I noticed the pigmentation is so very light which I guess is good for those who have a 9-5 or go to school and want to be low-key.

Au Natural: Protecting your hair ends

Once a week when you’re massaging your scalp and placing your oil to your ends don't be afraid to place your hair in a loose bun in this style your ends are being protected (you can just add the oil just to your tips if you want).

What I've learn from the hair forum is instead of using one of those extremely packed elastic hair ties try using a scrunchy that has satin around it. By using the soft scrunchy your not adding stress to your hair, because it's in a extremely loose bun (also make sure the bun is not too low).

This method is perfect for when you’re on your day off from work or about to go to school just to give your hair a break.

Another great use for satin (here's a quick tip!):

Au Natural: Peppermint Oil & Grapeseed oil Mix

I try to massage my scalp at least once a week with oil to keep in routine (I do massage my scalp on a daily before I go to bed). This has been proven to help hair grow faster, because of the circulation in the scalp.

Pick an essential oil which would be good for your hair type.

For example:
dandruff = tea-tree or lavender
hair loss = peppermint oil or rosemary oil
overly dry = rose oil or chamomile oil

Since I want hair growth I choose to go for peppermint oil more often than others, plus I love peppermint. For the heavier oil I picked Grapeseed oil which is great because it is odorless and full of minerals and vitamins that help strengthen your hair. For every tablespoon of the oil that you are using (olive oil or almond oil, jojoba, sweet almond or grapeseed oil, etc.) only add a maximum of two drops essential oil.

I take a small storage bowl and pour in the mixtures of 1tsp to 2 drops and than mix the oils w/ my fingers. The mixture is now ready to be applied to your scalp.

Put a small amount of your oil onto your fingers. Begin massaging in small circular motions near your temples, and then move your fingers out over the rest of your scalp.

After all your oil is used up, place a shower cap or warmed towel on your head and leave the oil on for as needed. Since my hair is extremely dry I leave it in over night and wash my hair the next day. If you have normal hair just wash it out with a good shampoo and conditioner.

I try to do this once a week to keep in a routine. Remember this will help your hair grow faster.

Nail Swatch: Cozy Cocoa (dupe to OPI Barefoot?)

Maybelline Salon Expert Strengthening Nail - Cozy Cocoa 720.

The name does seem to fit this nail polish to the "T". It reminds me of hot cocoa, but with a hint of a baby doll blushing cheeks (if that makes sense). Just warmth of pink glides into this nude color creating a perfect shade for all complexions, because to me it seem this shade will transform it self with any undertone.

It really didn't take much to get this product to show up. I believed I only layered this nail polish twice just for kicks and it went on effortless without leaving any harsh streaks behind. The only down fall is without a top coat I noticed it did chip a little but.

I believe this is a great dupe to the Barefoot in Barcelona from OPI fall 2009 Spain Collection!

I was out and about and came across a swatch at a local beauty store and placed my finger nail right beside the nail polish color display disk swatch and noticed how similar it was to "Cozy Cocoa". It has a smudge of peach to it, but pretty darn close!

Price: $5
Dupe: OPI - Barefoot $9

I try to experiment a few days back using the color as my background layer.
